A proper miniature house needs a proper bathroom, and this kit makes it easy to create one. You get all the laser-cut wooden pieces for a bathtub, a sink on a pedestal, a toilet and a small cabinet — every essential for a room that mice can freshen up in. It is a satisfying build, and painting everything white at the end gives it that clean bathroom feel.
Handy: our bathroom furniture kit includes bathtub, sink, toilet, and cabinet.
Step by Step
Step 1: Assemble the Bathtub
The bathtub is the biggest piece in the kit and a wonderful place to start. Pop out the panels and glue the sides to the base, then attach the end pieces. The curved or angled shape of the tub makes it feel immediately recognizable — even at this tiny scale, it looks exactly like a bathtub. Make sure all the joints are snug and let the glue set before moving on.
Step 2: Build the Sink Pedestal
The sink sits on a pedestal, which gives it a classic look. Glue the pedestal column first, then attach the basin on top. It is a small piece so work carefully — a thin, even line of glue is all you need. The pedestal sink is one of those details that people always notice because it looks so perfectly like the real thing.
Step 3: Construct the Toilet
The toilet is made from just a few pieces but it is surprisingly charming when finished. Glue the base together first, then attach the seat and the tank at the back. It is such a simple shape, but seeing a tiny toilet in a miniature bathroom never fails to make people smile. Make sure the tank is straight and centered.
Step 4: Assemble the Cabinet
The bathroom cabinet provides storage and a finished look to the room. Glue the sides to the top, bottom and back panel, then add any shelves inside. If your kit includes a small door, attach it once the main structure is dry. A cabinet next to the sink is a classic bathroom arrangement that always looks right.
Step 5: Paint White and Arrange
Here is where the bathroom truly comes together. Give every piece a coat of white paint — or two coats for a smooth, clean finish. White paint unifies all the furniture and instantly makes the room look like a real bathroom. Once the paint is dry, arrange everything in your room: bathtub along one wall, sink and toilet along another, cabinet wherever it fits best. Step back and admire your spotless miniature bathroom.
Make It Your Own
While white is the classic choice for a bathroom, you can add personality with small touches of color. Try painting the cabinet in a soft blue or green while keeping the fixtures white. Add a tiny towel draped over the bathtub edge, a miniature soap dish on the sink, or a small mat on the floor cut from felt. A tiny mirror above the sink — even just a small piece of foil glued to cardboard — adds a realistic detail that really finishes the room.
