Bathroom Cabinet from the Furniture Kit

Assemble a miniature bathroom cabinet from the furniture kit — a quick project that adds storage and charm to your dollhouse bathroom.

A bathroom cabinet is one of the quickest and most rewarding projects from the furniture kit. In just a few steps you have a charming little piece of furniture that adds both storage and character to your miniature bathroom. And the best part comes after assembly — filling it with tiny toiletries and bottles.

Step by Step

Step 1 — Unpack the Pieces

Carefully pop out the cabinet pieces from the kit sheet. Take your time — the pieces are small and delicate. Lay them all out on your work surface so you can see what you have. You should find side panels, shelves, a back panel and small door pieces. Check everything against the assembly guide before you start gluing anything.

Step 2 — Follow the Assembly Guide

Look at the assembly guide included with the kit. It shows you which pieces go where and in which order. Start by identifying the back panel and the two side pieces. Dry-fit the pieces together first without glue — this helps you understand how everything connects and ensures you do not accidentally glue something in the wrong position.

Step 3 — Glue the Structure

Apply a thin line of glue along the edges where the pieces meet. Start with the back panel and attach the two sides. Then add the shelves one by one, making sure they are level and evenly spaced. Hold each piece in place for a moment while the glue grabs. Work slowly and carefully — a well-glued cabinet will be sturdy enough to handle and move around.

Step 4 — Add the Doors

Glue the small door pieces to the front of the cabinet. You can attach them flat against the frame (closed) or at a slight angle (open) to show off what is inside. If your kit includes tiny handles, add those last. A small bead or a bent piece of wire also makes a charming door knob. Make sure the doors are evenly aligned before the glue dries.

Step 5 — Optional Paint

The cabinet looks lovely in its natural wood-coloured state, but you can also paint it. White is classic for a bathroom, but a soft pastel colour like mint green or pale blue works beautifully too. Apply a thin, even coat and let it dry completely. If you want a slightly worn, vintage look, sand the edges very gently after the paint dries.
