Bedroom Furniture Kit — Assembly Tutorial

Put together your Mouse Mansion bedroom furniture kit with this easy tutorial. A bed, wardrobe and bedside table — everything for a dreamy miniature bedroom.

Every mouse needs a place to sleep, and this bedroom furniture kit gives you everything to create one. The laser-cut wooden pieces come ready to pop out and assemble — a bed frame, a wardrobe and a sweet little bedside table. It is a simple project with a lovely result, and adding a scrap of fabric as bedding makes it feel truly complete.

Step by Step

Step 1: Assemble the Bed Frame

Pop out all the bed pieces and start with the base. Slot the headboard and footboard into the side rails, applying a thin line of wood glue along each joint. The bed frame should feel solid once all four sides are connected. Lay it flat while the glue sets so everything stays square and even.

Step 2: Build the Wardrobe

The wardrobe is made from two side panels, a top, a bottom and a back. Start by gluing the sides to the bottom panel, then attach the top. Slide the back panel in last to give the whole piece its structure. If your kit includes doors, attach them once the main frame is dry — they look wonderful and add a real sense of scale.

Step 3: Construct the Bedside Table

This is the smallest piece in the kit, but it makes such a difference in the room. Glue the legs to the tabletop and, if there is a lower shelf, slot that in between the legs. A bedside table next to the bed instantly makes the bedroom feel considered and complete.

Step 4: Optional Painting

Once all the glue has dried, you can paint your furniture. White or pastel colors work beautifully for a bedroom — think soft pink, light blue or pale yellow. Paint the bed frame one color and the wardrobe another, or keep them all the same for a matched set. Let the paint dry completely before handling the pieces.

Step 5: Add Tiny Fabric Bedding

Cut a small rectangle of fabric for a bedspread and tuck it over the bed frame. A second smaller piece makes a lovely pillow. Choose a fabric with a tiny print or a soft solid color. This last step transforms the bed from a wooden frame into something that looks warm and inviting — it is amazing what a scrap of fabric can do.

Make It Your Own

The bedroom is the most personal room in any house, even a miniature one. Think about who sleeps here and let that guide your choices. A floral fabric bedspread and a painted wardrobe in soft green might suit a grandmother mouse, while bright stripes and bold colors could belong to a young adventurer. You can glue a tiny mirror to the wardrobe door, place a miniature book on the bedside table, or add a small rug beside the bed. These touches are what make it yours.
