About the Mouse Mansion
The Mouse Mansion is a world of its own, with over a hundred tiny rooms full of houses, shops, streets and outdoor spaces, all mouse-sized. Each room has its own resident, complete with a unique story, personality and family ties. This world is explored by two curious mice: Sam and Julia. The everyday adventures they experience in the Mouse Mansion teach young readers valuable life lessons. The Mouse Mansion is a safe haven, an inclusive world, and a story about friendship and community.

The book series now includes six beautifully illustrated titles of which two are translated to English: Sam and Julia and At the theater. With every book, you’ll discover a new part of the Mouse Mansion.

About Karina Schaapman
The Mouse Mansion was handcrafted by artist Karina Schaapman (born in 1960). She wanted to create a children’s book – not with drawings, but with photos of scenes from her self-built Mouse Mansion. The story of Sam and Julia was already in her mind. What started with a few pieces of cardboard and some glue grew into a full miniature world with over a hundred little rooms. A world where, as Karina says, she would want every child to grow up.

The original Mouse Mansion is three metres tall and two metres wide. You can admire it in real life at the Mouse Mansion shop and museum on Muntplein in Amsterdam.

Bring the Stories to Life
Want even more fun with the stories? Re-enact the adventures of Sam, Julia and the other residents with our cuddly toy mice. These soft little characters truly bring the Mouse Mansion to life! They’re practically indestructible and suitable for all ages.

Stunning Book!

This book arrived in less than 24 hours from Holland to the UK! It is absolutely beautiful, I planned to give it to my 4 year old granddaughter but I am keeping it for myself and we will spend many happy hours looking at the gorgeous photos. Love the Big Book of Look and Find!

So much fun to look over the pictures closely. New details to see every time you look. Develops children’s ability to REALLY LOOK for things, which is helpful in academic skills for pattern recognition, for example. However, also useful for practical matters such as finding your missing toy or picking juicy berries!

Wat is dat muizenhuis een leuke en creatieve vondst

Verslaafd aan het maken van een muizenhuis en de kleinkinderen inspecteren elke keer als ze komen wat er weer bij gekomen is. Voor iedereen te maken en veel tips op de website. De spullen die ik bestelde werden snel en netjes geleverd. Goede kwaliteit

Ik zag t muizenhuis bij mn vriendin n werd op slag verliefd. Heb alle kamers besteld bij het muizenhuis zelf in Amsterdam. Er zat iets niet bij en gemaild en echt d service was geweldig. Ik wordt er helemaal vrolijk van als ik met mn vriendin aan t knutselen ben. Heb nu net ook n boek gekocht voor n beetje ondersteuning n plaatjes kijken. Echt superrrr leuk
